Register Now! The EMS Council of New Jersey announces its 2026 Convention will be held at the Dolce by Wyndham, 199 Smith Road, Parsippany, NJ from Friday, October 9 to Sunday, October 11, 2026.

The Keynote Presentation, on Friday from 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm, will be “Dispatch to Deposition and How Case Law Changes Everything.” This program, created by Marjorie O. Smith, Esq., EMT, RMC, CMR, and Lt. James Troisi (ret.), BA, NREMT, EMT-Instructor, CBHC, will establish in layperson form how a seemingly innocuous dispatch and ordinary response can lead to years of legal wrangling. A lawsuit that can ultimately yield a negative impact on every EMS response that will ever follow it. An actual New Jersey 9-1-1 case will be the framework used to demonstrate how EMS providers can go from Dispatch to Deposition and How Case Law Changes Everything.

Kelly Grayson, AGS, NRP, CCP and Nancy Magee, NREMT, EMSI, will be presenting multiple classes Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Jon Politis, MPA, NRP, will be presenting on Saturday and Sunday. Many other speakers will be presenting over the 3 days. All classes have been approved by NJ Office of Emergency Medical Services for NJ EMT continuing education. The preliminary schedule is subject to change as the hotel finalizes meals.
